On and offline media planning
After doing expansive qualitative and quantitative research, I learned that Google Pixel has a strong following among LGBTQIA2S+ people who are unhappy with their phones. I worked with talented teams at Google Medialab, PHD, Mindshare, and WHOSAY to plan, write, produce, cast, art direct, and edit two Pixel-positive videos featuring RuPaul, Ilana Glazer, and Abbi Jacobson from Broad City. These videos were seen by millions of people through online and offline marketing, and especially resonated with queer audiences.
Google Cloud’s partnership with NCAA’s March Madness pushed the boundaries of real time data analysis. I worked with several creative agencies to help write, produce and distribute short and long form videos celebrating how well this collaboration went for mass distribution on and offline.
Fossil
In partnership with Fossil and Refinery29, I helped launch Refinery 29's first large interactive experience for influencers and celebrities. This art funhouse, known as 29 rooms, allowed me to collaborate with artists such as Petra Collins to create explosively engaging content for Fossil's new brand identity. 29 Rooms has since gained international popularity. Additionally, I developed and managed a holiday influencer campaign in New York City to align Fossil's rebranded products with fashion influencers and stylish communities.
Verizon
Verizon Small Businesses had to make big changes during the pandemic. Keeping their services helpful and easy to understand required unprecedented research, flexibility, creativity, and teamwork between the client and agency teams. I managed many creative and communication projects for online marketing and customer relationship efforts, making sure our business-to-business content and messages on digital platforms were interesting, easy to relate to, and impactful.
McCormick Spices
How can a classic but trapped in time spices company compete with an onslaught of newer, popular flavoring companies? When McCormick Spices asked for our help to break into the CPG market, we combined their food scientists with our technology to create something really appealing: Flavorprint. After finishing development and testing, my team and I made plans for outreach programs, which I had the pleasure of executing.
Then, I was invited to join a panel about innovation in influencer and branded content, sharing my expertise with specialists across industries.
Julia always wants in on a good panel.
Here, she and several other talented industry experts and artists ask: What does the future hold for AI and the people who live alongside it? Why does the future of technology look so bleak in fiction and positive in business forecasts? How can we reconcile the two?
